Freestanding tubs have become one of the most requested features in custom home master baths - and it's easy to see why. They turn an ordinary bathroom into something that actually feels intentional. But getting one installed correctly takes more than just setting it in place and hooking up a faucet.

We partnered with Apex Construction on this one, handling the plumbing side of a custom home build. Our job was to make sure the supply lines, drain, and faucet connections were all done cleanly and correctly so the finished product looks as good as it functions. With a freestanding tub, there's nowhere to hide sloppy work. Everything has to line up.

The rectangular soaker tub sits centered in its own dedicated alcove, with large-format tile wrapping the surround and a decorative mosaic border running the full width of the space. The matte black deck-mount faucet was tied in to complement the clean, modern finish the builder and homeowner were going for. Getting the rough-in placement right from the start is what makes that kind of precision possible.

When builders bring us in early, we can coordinate with the tile work and cabinetry so nothing ends up out of position. That's the difference between plumbing that's just functional and plumbing that actually fits the design. It's the kind of work we take seriously on every new construction job we're part of.
